We received a sagan of around 10 lacs on our wedding and we decided to use this money by investing in impactful ideas through Sagan Initiative.
We received 48 ideas and each of them was evaluated on the basis of given criteria:
- It advances a social cause.
- It promotes local economy/culture or solves a local issue.
- A creative idea which finds it difficult to raise funds. For example, writing a book, filming a documentary etc.
- It is financially sustainable.
We have awarded an amount of between 50 thousand to 2 lacs in the following ideas. The investment is in the form of grants, equity, or pay-it-forward loans.
